Cliff Posted June 29, 2019 Share Posted June 29, 2019 Perhaps we are rather simplistic in using a new fridge. We only buy blood bank fridges, usually Helmer. It's unpacked and checked for electrical safety. It's plugged in and allowed to come to temp. We put a Rees probe in it (as we do all of our equipment). We also put in an independent temperature tracker (we use TempTale). We let it run for at least 24 hours. If both temps are acceptable for the 24 hours, we put it into use.
