Does anyone know if Hydroxocobalamin (Cyanokit®) interferes with blood bank testing, particularly MTS gel? We had a house fire smoke inhalation victim be given this and his plasma is really dark red. I see online that "Due to the deep red color of hydroxocobalamin, it can interfere with colorimetric methods used in laboratory measurements such as aspartate aminotransferase, total bilirubin, creatinine, magnesium, and serum iron.
