  1. Thanks for the reply CM2. You are right our cell therapy lab does all that you mentioned as far as taking sterility of the product and rechecking ABO before release of the product. Thanks again!
  2. Hi, I was wondering if anyone that works in a cellular therapy laboratory does any follow-up work up on the recipient to an adverse reaction to a HPC product? We currently do not do any adverse reaction work-ups nor does the transfusion service for stem cell products. Just curious if anyone else does. Thanks for your help!
  3. Hi, I just wanted to see if anyone keeps track of the number of transfusions on patients' that are transfusion dependent and absence of bleeding? Mostly in regards to iron overload. Is this part of your blood management program and how do you follow-up on these at-risk patients to their physicians? Thanks for any input!!
  4. Thanks for the reply, so far that is what I have found out also. Just checking with everyone else. Thanks again.
  5. Hi, I'm a new poster, so sorry if this is in the wrong forum. My lab director asked me about one of our blood bank refrigerators that had a crack in the glass. She was wondering if it would have to be replaced. The door is double-paned glass and the crack is in-between these two panes of glass. The temp. doesn't seem to be affected by this crack. I was just wondering if anyone had any links to OSHA or CAP guidelines about whether or not it should be replaced. Thanks for your time. DCH
