I have an academic question to post. Does anyone know if the low incidence antigens (ex. BARC, FPTT, TAR) that are associated with partial D are located on the Rh protein? Are they neo antigens that are formed as a result of the gene mutations in partial D's ?
Does anyone know where you could begin searching to obtain a tube of blood from donors with rare antigens? We would like to start cell cultures to have a supply of rare antigens to QC molecular testing. Thanks in advance for any advice.
