  1. I posted a number of helpful links for blood bankers on our site at: http://www.txmedweb.com/resourceLinks.aspx The intent was to help regarding validation, but perhaps these may help you too. Alan Gornik Sr. VP Transfusion Management Services, Inc.
  2. We are a 3rd party validation vendor. The thing that amazes me is the amount of variability from hospital to hospital within one type of system. For example you'd think that all the SQ users out there would have pretty much the same setup, but they don't. Given all this variability, we are implementing an automated validation process to really get into to all the differences to make sure the depth of testing is greater.
  3. Hello. A vendor here. We provide consulting and validation services to blood banks, transfusion services, labs, etc. (see www.txmedweb.com) Are you looking for such consultative support? Some of the things we need to get more specifics on: Is this your first plasma center; are you U.S. or overseas; do you need help on-site to get it up and running; need regulatory advice, SOP preparation, training, marketing or financial advice, etc? Will you be doing manual or automated plasma collection? We can also provide consulting on equipment needs, workflow and donor testing in house or reference labs (e.g., Blood Systems, ARUP, etc.), labeling, storage and compliance issues. We are well versed in the regulatory requirements for plasma collection the procedures etc. Please contact directly if interested in discussing further. Thank you.
