Greetings, I would be interested in knowing about protocols/challenges in the transfusion field using cryopreserved whole cord blood units (Autologous) a) Are there accepted time limits? Do some people use a thawing and/or transfer procedure Are these units washed to remove debris of rbc, excess Hemoglobin, DMSO(units are 5% vol)? c) Are units diluted (3X?) with Albumin/dextran d) Can the units be infused unmanipulated? (To the extent that DMSO is tolerated by recipient) Thank you in advance for any suggestions? John
