  4. When we stopped our program many years ago, a representive from our blood supplier and I visited the doctors offices that ordered autologous units drawn and gave them the forms and information they needed to have the units drawn at the blood center. To my surprise it was well recived.

  6. I coundn't agree with you more. I lived through one lawsuit and even though we were not at fault, it was a horrible experience and it changed my attitude on a lot of issues. Thanks. Mary
  7. I agree with the high cost philosphy. We do repeat the reference labs antigen typing if we have the antisera. The only thing that bothers me about not repeating it is the reference lab supplies "historically negative" units without retyping them. Considering the huge numbers of units they have in their computer, I think the chance for a clerical error is an issue.

  13. My hospital is temporarily closed due to a flood. We lost EVERYTHING. Does anyone have a source for purchasing Hematype segment devices.I may need more help on other things. Thanks.
