  1. What version of Meditech are you using? I don't have "Crossmatch Card" as an option in my BB module. We have up to v5.6.1 loaded in our test system. Tracy Canfield
  2. This goes out to all Meditech Blood Bank users. Does Meditech have an easy fix for this CAP requirement? We have tried attatching the issue/transfuse card to the unit with a label gun, but the nurses tear it off the moment they get ready to hang the unit. We also have tried using a hospital registration label to label the unit with the patient info at the time of issue. This fails to meet the requirement of donor # & type, and pt. type. Any ideas short of filling out a separate label by hand would be much appreciated.
  3. At our hospital, ALL babies have a cord blood come down to the Blood Bank. Cord Workups (ABO, Rh, DAT) are ordered on babies of Rh neg moms. The rest are "held" for 2 weeks. Once or twice a month we get a request for a workup on a baby to R/O ABO incompatibility. By holding our specimens, the pediatricians can order the testing even after the baby has been discharged.
  4. Thanks for the tips. I'll get together with the lab manager and see if we can try these. Unfortunately, I don't have the proper access or training to manipulate those dictionaries myself, and our blood bank savvy Meditech LIS person has been gone since June 2006. Our manager is trying to carry the load, but ISBT has sort of fallen through the cracks so far.
  5. I desperately would like some help from a Meditech user who is able to scan units in. We can't seem to get our scanning to work until we've entered the product in manually. T Canfield Capital Medical Center
