    Anti f?

Thanks Malcolm. I don't know why but f has always confused me way more than it should and now that manufacturer's have taken it off the panel antigrams it becomes an enigma that I have to try to explain to techs with less experience than I .....

    Anti f?

Thanks. That, at least, makes it even more likely. I would suggest that, at some point, she has either been transfused with blood expressing the RHCE*ce haplotype, or has been pregnant before with a foetus expressing this haplotype. The good news is that, if it proves to actually be anti-f, it has only ever been implicated in cases of mild, almost sub-clinical, HDFN.

  3. Thank you very much Malcolm. Very detailed explanation. I am waiting on the molecular testing results now and yes she has been transfused and we are issuing Rh negative of course.
