Thawed protein c & s samples

I guess you have to check the manufacturer's insert istructions.  Ours says only to "thaw rapidly" and to refer to CLSI standard H21-A5.

 

If I am not mistaken, the problem comes if you are running a clot-based test -- fibrinogen degrades with every freeze-thaw cycle, and there is something about cold-activation of factor VII.  Our PC test is a clot test, so we would not want to run anything re-frozen.  Our Free PS is a latex test, so I would think its not an issue there.
