  1. Our hospital has selected EPIC EHR/Beaker.  The Blood Bank has selected Softbank.  Could you share your build process for both beaker & Softbank?  Thanks

I'd be happy to talk to you about the build process. Do you have specific questions? If so, feel free to send me an email with your questions - my email address is slgraham@wakehealth.edu

I'll give you just a bit of background on our facility. We're a large academic medical center. Our main campus has 850 beds - it's a Level I trauma center and has one of the largest cancer treatment centers in our state. The main campus also has a large Pediatrics tower and a NICU. We have a smaller campus with 100 beds - this campus has labor & delivery. We have another campus that provides long-term care to patients. We also have multiple Outpatient clinics, as well as many Outreach clinics.

We used Sunquest for 30 years before making the switch! Which blood bank system are you currently using?

Are you doing any data conversion to transfer the data from your old system into Softbank?

I look forward to speaking with you!

      Sally

  2. We just went live with Beaker/Softbank (after using Sunquest for 30+ years). We used a third party vendor (Korchek) for our data conversion and were happy with the process.
  3. We just went live with Beaker/Softbank. I was heavily involved in the build process for both systems - feel free to reach out to me if you have questions.
  4. Anyone have any experience setting up an interface from the GammaCell 3000 irradiator to the LIS (Softbank). Willing to share some tips? Thanks!!
  5. We are implementing Softbank in May and then IDTx after that (we were supposed to implement at the same time, but logistics of updating the EHR to receive data from IDTx were too intensive to complete by our go-live date). From what I've seen of IDTx, it's a great system! The programmers have been fantastic to work with and willing to make changes for our institution. The biggest obstacle for us has been the interfaces (we'd like to capture vitals in the EHR and then send to IDTx, whereas IDTx is truly set up to capture vitals in it's system) and modifying the EHR.
  6. Welcome to the forums bankergal :)
