We are required by CAP to perform ABORh testing on all patients experiencing a reaction during or post transfusion regardless of the symptoms. Can we/should we charge for this and any other testing that we perform? Currently, there is no charge for a transfusion reaction investigation other than the Medical Director’s interpretation.
